Through performances that embody rituals, I aim to address displacement and the longing for belonging, more specifically how uprootedness exists and functions in my homeland of Curaçao. My practice has the larger goal of creating language and methods of healing when it pertains to displacement, which I hopes can add to the larger discourse of uprootedness in Curaçao.
